As a growing British manufacturer, we are keen to develop the very best people in the industry through employee investment, education opportunities and by offering real long-term careers.

In addition to our in-house training scheme, Wolf Components has now joined with The Skills Network to begin delivering further training and apprenticeships to our employees.

Investing in people and developing their skills is essential for the future and we were delighted to find a provider who could deliver a training solution that fits with modern business and learning requirements.

Wolf Components recognises that our employees are our most valuable asset in being an efficient and reliable independent British manufacturer and we are delighted that from this month we will be partnering with Westfield Health to provide enhanced wellbeing support.

The benefits scheme will recognise service as we look to help all our staff build rewarding long term careers in manufacturing.

Access to better physical and mental health support and advice is increasingly important as we come out of the pandemic and we are pleased to be able to help our employees reduce the costs of healthy lifestyle activities such as gym memberships and everyday purchases through Westfield Rewards.

It’s National Customer Service week in the UK and Wolf Components are further growing our customer service and administration team in Rotherham.

We are delighted to welcome Christina Bailey who joins us as Customer Service Administrator and brings a wealth of experience to help us continue to deliver outstanding customer care.

A huge thanks to the whole team, Louise, Gemma and Christina, for the professional service they provide every single day to all our customers.

The Wolf Components team had a fantastic time attending the Bed Show for the first time this year.

It was wonderful to see the event able to go ahead again after the pandemic and we all enjoyed the opportunity to meet our bedding industry colleagues again.

Many thanks to all our existing and potential customers and suppliers who visited us on the stand.

We look forward to next year!

As a truly independent British manufacturer, Wolf Components has continued to invest in our VSS mini springs over the last year, growing both capacity and developing new products to suit all customer requirements.

At this years Bed Show, Wolf will be showcasing our new 1000 Series VSS mini spring sheet with an increased 30mm height giving a resilient and comfortable feel whilst minimising settlement.

The sheets assist with improving air circulation and can be layered as a cost-effective solution to boosting overall mattress coil counts.

Made from only two raw materials the product is fully recyclable and manufactured in the UK, helping companies achieve their sustainability and net-zero targets.

For more information on the advantages of the new 1000 Series VSS mini springs please contact Rob Shuttleworth or visit us at Stand S22 at the Bed Show in September.

We look forward to sharing more future developments as we further our ambitions to invest and grow in the UK.

We are delighted to announce that Wolf Components will be attending the NBF Bed Show for the first time this year.

It’s great to see this fantastic event taking place again after recent events and to be able to join our fellow bedding industry colleagues.

Wolf is now well established as a fully independent UK pocket spring supplier with experienced employees working as one team to deliver a reliable and efficient service, especially at times of disruption.

We will be glad to see you in the Supplier Area (stand reference S21) and are looking forward to sharing the achievements the company has made since our inception in 2017 and how we can competitively support your business.

The Bed Show – 21-22 September, Telford – Stand Reference S21

Last year at Wolf Components we made the decision to increase our production capacity for pocket spring units. Given the success we had with the Lian Rou 120 coil-a-minute machines, purchased in 2017, we decided to invest in the new Lian Rou 160 coil-a-minute dual wire machines and their new high speed assembler.

Due to travel restrictions we were unable to visit their factory to inspect the machines, so trusted our instincts and purchased blind.

Having received the machines in March this year we have now had a chance to familiarise ourselves with their capabilities and we are delighted with our investment. The pocket coilers happily run all day at 160 coils per minute and the dual wire feature provides real flexibility for zoning or super-fast specification change overs. The new assembler has been the biggest surprise, it easily handles three 160 coil-a-minute machines and has amazing flexibility.

The only challenge this has created is that our original four year old machines now seem slow in comparison!

Fortunately we enjoy investing and are passionate about technology and developing our productivity, so further investments seem to be inevitable…

Due to the increasing demand for framed pocket spring units, Wolf Components is installing a second new Eurobend frame making machine.

Currently around 90% of our unit production has either one or two frames attached.

Given this demand and the development of our capacity in the last 12 months, our need for frames has grown to a level where a single machine has not been able to keep up.

We are pleased to now have ample capacity to grow our production of framed units for the foreseeable future.

Wolf Components are delighted to have been accepted as supplier members of the National Bed Federation, representing an important milestone in our development from a new company to an established industry supplier.

As an independent family-owned business, we are proud to be investing in innovative energy efficient manufacturing both in the UK and South Yorkshire and look forward to working with the Bed Federation and its members over the coming years as we further develop a sustainable local supply chain.

Plenty of activity in the Wolf Components factory this morning as we start preparing for the new machinery which is on its way from Lian Rou. The new machines will add 30% capacity to our pocket spring unit production and an additional 25% to our VSS mini spring capacity.

We are also preparing space for an additional frame bending and clipping machine from Eurobend. The second wave of investment is far greater than I had envisioned when we first started Wolf in 2017.
